Hacking Team, a Milan-based company that sells surveillance tools, malware and exploits to governments, has been hacked and over 400GB data was stolen. Among the data are zero-day exploits, malware, backdoor exploits and proof-of-concept examples of how to intercept networks and computers around the world.

Software vendors like Adobe, Oracle, Adobe, Microsoft, and many others are racing now to patch these previously unknown vulnerabilities in their systems. A zero-day is an unknown vulnerability for which no patch exist and cybercriminals take now advantage of the leaked zero-day’s vulnerabilities and attack government organizations via Flash Player, Windows, Mac and Linux worldwide.

Government users can defend themselves by updating all their systems and by using strong encryption. Once again, it shows that encryption works if properly implemented; strong OmniCrypt™ solutions are one of the few things that you can rely on.
